If you have problem downloading chowara.ttf font file, send a blank Email (no subject or message necessary) to getfont@puzha.com, the font file will automatically be sent to that Email account in few seconds !!!

If the file that you have downloaded is zipped, unzip it using WinZip. Keep the unzipped font file, chowara.ttf, anywhere you want in the system; not  necessarily in the font directory. Follow the standard steps to install a font, which is given below.

Notes: You don't need to install font Chowara to read Puzha.Com in Malayalam. Puzha.Com uses dynamic font and you must able to read it in Malayalam without installing any font.

Steps to install font:

1. Start->Settings->Control Panel->Fonts.

2. In Fonts window, select File->Install New Font.

3. In 'Folders' listbox, navigate to the directory where Chowara editor has been installed. For example, in C:\Chowara.

4. Select "Chowara (True Type)" in the 'List of fonts' listbox, and press 'OK'.

Installation Instructions

The file that you would be downloading is zipped. Unzip it using utilities like WinZip. Keep the unzipped files in a temporary directory, like c:\temp\chowara. If you are downloading as four separate zip files, unzip all the files into single temporary directory, like c:\temp\chowara. Click on Setup.exe to start installing the editor.

Follow the instructions on the setup screens to complete the installation.The font file, chowara.ttf, will be available in the editor home directory, like c:\program files\Chowara. Follow the standard steps for installing font to complete the setup of this package. Read the help file for details on how to use Chowara Malayalam editor. If you experience any problem during installation, check the following:

• Have you downloaded the correct version of the software?If you have Chowara 1.0 already installed in your computer, uninstall the software and install the new version of the software. 
• Report any problems to chowara@puzha.com.
  

This application can be used to compose Malayalam text. Currently it supports only one font- Chowara. This package contains both the text editor and the font.
